What is The HydraFacial®?
It is the newest breakthrough in skin resurfacing technology. It is a non-invasive, non-irritating exfoliation alternative to other ablative treatments,
which produces comparable outcomes in skin rejuvenation, anti-aging, and acne-prone/oily skin treatment. It is the only procedure that integrates cleansing,
exfoliation, extraction and hydration simultaneously.
What is the Benefit to having a HydraFacial®?
The ability to hydrate the skin sets it apart from any other skin resurfacing procedures. It is a painless extraction, due to the multi-faceted spiral abrasion tip combined with serums that soften, lift, and extract sebum and impurities from the skin surface. The capability to custom blend active serums for different skin conditions makes it very unique and outstanding in comparison to other facial resurfacing procedures. It is non-irritating and the hydrating ingredients provide long-lasting hydration on all skin types, even on the most sensitive skin. The HydraFacial® can be combined with other skin procedures/modalities. The benefits can be seen after even one treatment, but multiple treatments are recommended in order to achieve maximum benefit. Once maximum benefit has been achieved, maintenance treatments are recommended in order to maintain healthy skin. How does it work?
The HydraFacial® works by exfoliating (removing dead skin cells), and extracting impurities with a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip while simultaneously bathing the health underlying skin with active serums that cleanse deeply, exfoliate thoroughly, hydrate completely and provide residual antioxidant protection.

What could I expect if I schedule an aesthetic procedure at Lehigh Valley Wellness Center?
At my first visit I will be asked to complete a thorough client intake assessment form. This form will be reviewed with me and the nurse/nurse practitioner. She will ask me additional questions about my skin to determine which treatment would be best and which serum would be best. She will discuss certain options that are available for my skin conditions. I will make an informed decision as to what procedure I would like and if I would like to combine other modalities, such as microdermabrasion and/or LED lights. She will cleanse my skin and remove any traces of make-up and skin oils. She will then perform the skin aesthetic procedures. As she is performing the skin procedures on my skin she will talk to me about natural ways of improving my health and my skin. She will recommend the use of certain quality skin products that would be beneficial in improving the appearance of my skin. She will also discuss proper nutrition and the use of herbals and vitamins that would greatly improve the health of my skin. Once the procedure/procedures are completed she will treat my skin with quality skin products. She will also review over the post procedure instructions and give me a copy to take home with me.
She will then give you a mirror to look at your skin and see the improvement that has been made in just one procedure.
She will recommend what additional procedures would be helpful to achieve maximum benefit and also suggest the frequency as to how often I could have these procedures performed. When I leave the office I will notice that your skin feels fresh, clean and smooth.
At return visits, she will review my intake form and ask you if there have been any changes in your health care, your prescriptions and your skin. She will ask how you liked the previous procedure and if you are interested in changing any of the procedures or increasing/decreasing the settings of the machine based on your comfort level.
